Hydrotherapy Pool Program Information
Parkwood Hospital Hydrotherapy Pool
Classes will be gentle fit hydrotherapy led by an experienced lifeguard in the 93 degree salt water hydrotherapy pool. Registration is for current patrons of St. Joseph's Hospital hydrotherapy pool program only.
Tuesdays and Fridays
12:15 pm -1:00 pm
1:00 pm - 1:45 pm
2:15 pm - 3:00 pm
3:00 pm - 3:45 pm
Cost: $50 per month

The Boys and Girls Club of London
The Boys and Girls Club of London have partnered with St. Joseph's to learn about the hydrotherapy program at St. Joseph's Hospital and have created two new classes for their fall 2013 schedule in their 93-94 degree pool:
Gentle Fit class in the Wellness Pool - a new program offered to individuals 21 years of age and older.
Mondays and Wednesdays September 4th - December 18th, 12:30-1 pm
Cost: New non-member price of $50 to register for one of the two class days ($100 for both days). The $50 will allow individuals to come every Monday or Wednesday from September 4 - December 18 (a total of 14-15 classes). This option will be available to members and non-members anyone 21 years of age and older. Individuals can also drop-in and pay $5.00 per class. Individual swim is available from 1:00 - 2:00 during open swim times for $3.00 per visit.
Gentle Fibro Fit class in the Wellness Pool - a new program modeled after St. Joseph's hydrotherapy pool classes and designed under the leadership of a staff member with special certification in aquatic fibromyalgia exercises through the Canadian Aquafitness Leadership Alliance. This class is open to individuals 21 years of age or older. Minimum registration to run this class will be 7, with a maximum number of participants at 20.
Tuesdays and Thursdays starting in September (one month blocks) - 8:15-9 pm
Cost: Classes will be $45/month.

The Boys & Girls Club of London is holding an open house on Wednesday August 28th from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. The pool will open for a free swim during this time for individuals to test out the Wellness Pool and facility before registering for a program.
YMCA of Western Ontario, London Centre Branch
The YMCA has partnered with St. Joseph's to review the hydrotherapy program at St. Joseph's Hospital and have identified two current program options in their small 88 degree pool:
Water Walking - a leisurely paced aquatic class focusing on proper body alignment using water as resistance for cardiovascular and muscular endurance training.
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8-8:30 am, followed by an open recreational swim from 8:30-9 am
Therapy Aquafit - this class is designed for a guided program aimed at increasing range of motion and muscle conditioning. Stretching and proper body alignment are core components of this class. The YMCA's therapy classes are geared to a wide variety of participants with various needs. Instructors are able to provide options or modifications as needed.
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30-2:15pm
Free passes are available to try the classes and learn more about the YMCA.
