The Patients' Council at Regional Mental Health Care London and St. Thomas
Mission Statement
The Patients’ Council is a voice for the ongoing improvement of the quality of life and care of people receiving services at St. Joseph’s Regional Mental Health Care.
Patient Bill of Rights for Regional Mental Health Care
The Regional Mental health Care Patients’ Bill of Rights is aligned with the St. Joseph’s Health Care London’s Statement of Patient and Resident Values.
Who We Are
The Patients’ Council is a group of mental health consumers elected by their peers to represent a membership made up of inpatients, outpatients, and former patients living in the area served by St. Joseph’s Regional Mental Health Care (RMHC).
In addition to our 10 to 12 member council (leadership group), the Patients’ Council is also made up of general members that generously volunteer their time, skills, and experience to serving their peers during various social and peer support activities.
The Patients’ Council strives to work in partnership with professional/clinical caregivers to ensure the best possible quality of life and standard of care is available to people served by RMHC, both in the hospital setting and in the community.
