Because we're helping train the next generation of health professionals
St. Joseph’s continues to be a leader in training the next generation of health care professionals.
Through hands on workshops and lectures from world renowned surgeons, the Hand and Upper Limb Centre (HULC) at St. Joseph’s Hospital provided expert education to international healthcare providers at their recent Hand and Upper Limb Symposium.
Over 100 participants from across Canada and the United States attended the two-day Symposium. Speaker and Hand Therapist at HULC Joey Pipicelli says it’s just one of the ways that clinicians at HULC contribute to the national health community.
“Our theme this year was rehabilitation following tendon injuries to the upper extremity. Many of our HULC surgeons and therapists participated," says Pipicelli. "We had hands-on splinting and casting labs using the latest products as well as presentations on new surgical techniques.”
