Partnership between Nurses (VON), Community Care Access Centre, Specialized Geriatric Services (Parkwood Hospital) and the Cherryhill community. This collaborative initiative addresses the specialized needs of the older adult in response to limited resources and their identified needs. Their goal is to provide fluid and seamless access to services within the Cherryhill community, enabling seniors to live independently in the community while enhancing their quality of life. Visitors are able to access health information in the form of brochures, with the assistance of volunteers, or they may be redirected to any of the above agencies for further advice.

Residential services program provides non-medical personal support and homemaking services. Services are limited in part by the resources intended for persons with permanent and severe physical disabilities who require assistance with activities of daily living and have the ability to direct an attendant to carry out pre-determined tasks that they cannot physically do for themselves. Services are not intended for individuals who require homemaking services only and can be provided on an outreach basis or at supportive living sites associated with APPD including an acquired brain injury site. Additional respite services are available to provide relief to caregivers. Attendants are available at predetermined times to act as a physical extension of the person with a physical disability. Attendants follow the direction of the consumer and assist with carrying out the activities of daily living as defined in the consumers service plan.
