St. Mary's Annex Changes
Background
The demolition of the St. Mary’s annex, which has been vacant since 1997, began in August 2011. In its place will be an attractive façade that enhances the Mount Hope grounds.
For the most part the first step in the demolition, relocating some services currently housed in the St. Mary’s annex, will not be evident. The building demolition begins in the winter with an expected completion date of fall 2012. During this demolition every effort will be made to cause the least amount of disruption possible. We look forward to the completion of the façade in the fall of 2012.

History of St. Mary's
The St. Mary’s annex has a long history dating back to when the Sisters of St. Joseph opened St. Mary’s Hospital in 1951. Components of this history will be preserved and celebrated when the new façade is complete.
