Accreditation Canada
Patient safety is an integral component of the accreditation programs. Complying with Accreditation Canada standards and required organizational practices reduces the potential for adverse events occurring within health care and service organizations. As a health care organization which participates in Accreditation Canada’s accreditation programs, St. Joseph’s is able to evaluate our performance against national standards of excellence which examine all aspects of health care, from patient safety and ethics, to staff training and partnering with the community. Our staff devote time and resources through the accreditation process to learn how to improve what we are doing so we may provide the best possible care and service to our patients and clients.
St. Joseph’s next on-site survey will take place in fall 2011.
