Susan Wolnik is a retired nurse/health services manager. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1975 and a Master of Business Administration in 1981, both from McMaster University and a Diploma in Adult Education from St. Francis Xavier University in 1993. Susan has continued to expand her knowledge base through continuing studies and has completed courses in project management, immunization competencies education and world religion.
Susan has held a variety of health services management roles, in the private and public sector which provide her with a system-wide perspective of health care in the province. She worked for five years as an independent health services consultant as well as managing public sector programs in tertiary ambulatory care, children’s mental health, long- term care, cancer care and attendant outreach services. She retired in 2011 from the Laboratories and Diagnostics section of the Provincial Programs Branch of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
Susan is a proud member of the Woodstock Choralaires, a community choir based in Woodstock and also plays the lever harp. She is a ‘regular’ at early morning Jazzercise classes, and loves to read and sew, especially if those activities include her grandchildren. She enjoys spending quiet time at the family cottage Pt. Clark on Lake Huron.
Susan has served two years as a community member on the Health Care Ethics Committee of St. Joseph’s Health Care London 2015-2017 prior to becoming a Director on the Board of Directors.
