Dr. Paul Links is the Chief of Mental Health Services at St. Joseph’s Health Care London and London Health Sciences Centre as well as Chair, Department of Psychiatry, Western University’s Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry.
Dr. Links graduated with a Bache lor of Medical Sciences in 1969 and an MD in 1973, both from the University of Alberta. He also received his Masters of Science in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics in 1988 from McMaster University. Dr. Links was the Deputy Chief of Psychiatry at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Ontario as well as Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. He received the Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention Research Award for outstanding contributions to the field of suicide research in Canada in 2009.
Dr. Link’s research specialty includes content expertise in suicide and suicide prevention and in the study of personality disorders. Dr. Links has held the role of the Arthur Sommer Rotenberg Endowed Chair in Suicide Studies at the University of Toronto for the past 15 years. He is a member of many National Societies and serves on the editorial boards of many prominent journals.
