Dr. Tim Doherty

Dr. Tim DohertyDr. Tim Doherty, Associate Professor; Chair/Chief, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM & R) Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Western University and Associate Scientist, Lawson Health Research Institute.  He is a consultant physiatrist at St. Joseph's Parkwood Institute and is a clinical electromyographer, consulting in the Neuromuscular Program at London Health Sciences Centre.  Dr. Doherty is a member of the Board, St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation.  He completed an undergraduate degree in Physical Education (University of New Brunswick, 1986), graduate degrees in Kinesiology (MSc Dalhousie 1989, PhD Western 1993) and undergraduate medicine at McMaster University.  Dr. Doherty was awarded Canada Research Chair in Neuromuscular Function in Health, Aging, and Disease in 2005. He is a past President of the Canadian Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, examiner, Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiology and member of the Editorial Boards of Muscle and Nerve, American Journal of PM&R, Journal of Clinical Neuromuscular Disease.
