The Patient Council is a voice for the ongoing improvement of the quality of life and care of people receiving services at Parkwood Institute Mental Health Care Building and the Southwest Centre for Forensic Mental Health Care.
Patient Bill of Rights
The Patients’ Bill of Rights is aligned with the St. Joseph’s Health Care London’s Statement of Patient and Resident Values.
Who We Are
The Patient Council is a group of mental health consumers elected by their peers to represent a membership made up of inpatients, outpatients, and former patients living in the area served by St. Joseph’s Parkwood Institute Mental Health Care Building and Southwest Centre for Forensic Mental Health Care (Southwest Centre).
The Patient Council is made up of general members that generously volunteer their time, skills, and lived experience to serve their peers during various social, educational and peer support activities.
The Patient Council strives to work in partnership with professional/clinical caregivers to ensure the best possible quality of life and standard of care is available to people served by Parkwood Institute Mental Health Care Building and Southwest Centre, both in the hospital setting and in the community.
