Tribute Dinner showcased all the stars – from Howie Mandel and Heather Hiscox to local philanthropists Marjie and Jeff Macoun

All the stars were out at this year’s St. Joseph’s Tribute Dinner, which featured tv host and comedian Howie Mandel, who spoke candidly about his experience with mental illness in a conversation with CBC News Network morning host Heather Hiscox.

Mandel has publicly battled obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and has become an international spokesperson against social stigma and in support mental health.

“His story offers hope to others,” says Michelle Campbell, President and CEO, St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation. “Along with Howie’s story, Tribute Dinner highlights the critical role St. Joseph’s plays in clinical and research work within brain and mental health care.”

The other stars of the evening were Marjie and Jeff Macoun, for their community contributions as volunteer leaders and local philanthropists with St. Joseph’s Health Care London and other community not-for-profit organizations. About the couple, Campbell says “London needs more people like Marjie and Jeff.”

Proceeds from the event will directly benefit highest priority needs for patient and resident care across St. Joseph’s.
