You're never too old to go to the prom! Residents in the Veterans Care Program at Parkwood Institute got a chance to attend a seniors prom on Valentine's Day. Veterans and staff members dressed in their finery for the afternoon prom, complete with corsages for the women, a live band, a photo booth, ballroom dancing demonstrations, desserts and the chance to be young at heart.
Among those showing off their best dance moves were resident Robert Kennedy, nearly 100 years old, and his date Betty Weetman. Robert wasn't the only 99-year-old. Bill Thomsen (age 99) and his wife of nearly 76 years, Iris (age 97) joined their fellow residents and staff members to kick up their heels. Here's a look at the Valentine's Day Prom.
