Save sight and change lives

Right now, around 5.5 million Canadians have a vision-threatening eye condition – and this number is only going to grow due to our aging population.

St. Joseph’s Ivey Eye Institute cares for the vision of our community by providing 150,000 patient visits every year. But they can only provide the best care with the right equipment.

That’s why we are raising funds for one of the most important instruments used in an eye exam – slit lamps.

You can help purchase two slit lamps for Ivey with a gift today.

The slit lamps have a bright light that provides a detailed look inside the eye. They are used to help determine where problems with the eye start and help eye doctors plan the best way to solve them. Slit lamps also are used to help diagnose eye diseases like glaucoma, macular degeneration and cataracts.

Your generosity is essential to fund this sight-saving – and sometimes life-saving – equipment.
