A certified management consultant, Bill Wilkinson has owned and operated Wilkinson Consulting Inc., since 1999. The firm specializes in the provision of advice and services related to workplace conflict and dispute resolution. It regularly provides facilitation on strategic planning exercises and executive leadership meetings requiring an independent third party. Other areas include board development and governance, leadership development, and general human resources advice. Prior to establishing his practice, Bill worked at Western University, serving as the first full-time ombudsperson, the first employment equity officer and as the first director of the Department of Equity Services. He began his career in banking. A graduate of King’s University College with a B.A (Honors) in History and a M.A. in Public History from Western, Bill is a member of the Institute of Certified Management Consultants of Ontario (ICMCO). He served regionally and provincially on various boards and committees of the organization. In 2014, he was made a Fellow of the ICMCO. He is a devoted community volunteer in London and region. In recognition of his overall community work with several local organizations, Bill received a Paul Harris Fellowship from Rotary International in 2005. He is active within the London business community as a member of the Advisory Board for 18 Asset Management, an Owner Representative for the London West Branch of Libro Credit Union, a mentor to undergraduate and graduate students on entrepreneurship at Western’s Ivey Business School, and with the London Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business Achievement Awards. During his time on the Board at St. Joseph’s Bill has served on several standing and special committees. He was the Chair of the Human Resources Committee of the Board and Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors for Lawson Health Research Institute (LHRI). He now serves as a member of the Board’s Governance Committee and as Chair of the Board for LHRI.
