BMO Financial Group invests in mental health care

Jun. 24, 2015

On June 23, BMO Financial Group announced an investment of $150,000 in support of men, women and adolescents who come to St. Joseph’s Parkwood Institute for mental health care.

This gift recognizes St. Joseph’s role in caring for thousands of people in London and region who experience severe mental illness each year. It will help ensure they receive excellent care in a supportive environment, and live fully within the limitations of their illness.

“This gift comes at a critical time and speaks to the growing awareness of mental health issues in our community,” says Michelle Campbell, President and CEO of St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation. “We’re grateful for the leadership support of BMO Financial Group whose gift signals the vital importance of this area of care.”

“At BMO we strongly believe that we have a responsibility to help improve the communities in which we do business,” said Kristen Kennedy, Regional Vice President – Personal Banking, BMO Bank of Montreal. “Being a good corporate citizen is an extremely important component of our overall success, and we aspire to be key contributors to the strength and success of our communities.”

BMO is a leader in corporate social responsibility and this gift is a reflection of their continued commitment to sustain London’s healthy and vibrant community.
