If the early success of St. Joseph's 2011 Season of Celebration campaign is any indication, people across the region have gotten into the holiday spirit early. And they are sharing it generously with those receiving care at St. Joseph's Health Care London.

Today, the 2011 Season of Celebration launched with more than $150,000 in donations received toward the goal of $360,000.

The campaign will run until December 31 and funds are critically needed.

A Christmas tradition at St. Joseph's, the Season of Celebration campaign raises funds in support of care and comfort items for patients and residents at all sites of St. Joseph's Health Care London

This year, donations will support the newest SMARTBoard technology used for patients in rehabilitation and complex and continuing care programs, St. Joseph's new Breast Care Centre, exercise equipment critical to the recovery of patients receiving mental health care, enhancements to the grounds at Parkwood Hospital, the renovation of the Craft Room at Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care, specialized beds and mattresses, and so much more.

Season of Celebration has been brightening lives and warming hearts for more than two decades. Over the years, this special Christmas campaign has purchased ceiling lifts, pressure-reducing mattresses, electric wheelchairs, ultrasound and mammography equipment and more.

Each donation will be recognized with a Pink Light of Caring across St. Joseph's five sites.
