Mental Health Care: Concurrent Disorders Services

Concurrent Disorders services within the Mental Health Care Program at Parkwood Institute are provided to individuals aged 18 and older living with severe and persistent mental illness, who also have an active substance use disorder.

A consistent care model guarantees the seamless use of psychiatric and substance use interventions. All inpatients are screened for the presence of a concurrent disorder. Patients identified as having significant issues can receive consultation and/or services from the outpatient team.
