The Possibilities Project

As people complete their stay at Parkwood Institute following a serious injury or illness, they often require medical and mobility equipment and other assistive devices that will enable them to successfully return to life in the community.  But even the most basic needs are expensive. For many patients and their families, the cost of these items means that they are simply unattainable.

The Possibilities Project is a grass-roots initiative created by St. Joseph’s Regional Rehabilitation Team. It works to ease the financial burden of medical equipment costs for patients with spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries, amputations and neurological conditions of childhood onset.

Your donation will support essential items used to enhance independence and quality of life, once people have been discharged home from the hospital. This includes things like: manual and power wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds and specialized mattresses, shower benches, commodes, porch lifts, ramps, ceiling track lifts, stair glides, reachers, grab bars, orthotics, prostheses, custom footwear and bracing, adaptive communication equipment, eyeglasses, minor home modifications.

The generosity, caring hearts and giving spirits of our donors and community partners have made such a meaningful difference in the lives of so many deserving people living with life-altering injuries or illnesses. Your gift today will support essential patient care items that enable people to live within their injury or illness.
