Re-paving project at Parkwood Institute

A re-paving project is happening at Parkwood Institute. Please read the Q&A below and refer to the map to learn how this project may affect your visit. Phase 1, marked in red on the map, is now complete. Phase 2, marked in green on the map, will take place Nov. 19.

What is being re-paved during Phase 2?

A portion of the Main Building main entrance driveway will be closed for re-paving during Phase 2.

Will all entrances remain open?

The main entrance (Zone C) will remain open for foot traffic, but vehicles will not be able to access the driveway to drop off or pick up. The Arthur J. Hobbins entrance (Zone D) will be open for staff, patients and visitors as an alternate entrance for the duration of this work.

Will Lot 1 visitor parking be open?

Lot 1 will be closed while Phase 2 work is completed. Patients and visitors can park in Lot 2, the metered spots along Harmony Road, in Lot 3 or in the parking garage.

Where can I catch the bus?

The bus stop at the Main Building entrance will be closed Nov. 19 and re-open on Nov. 20. Patients and visitors who ride the bus will need to use the bus stop located in front of the Mental Health Care Building. London Transit Commission (LTC) bus drivers will notify riders on Bus Route 6 of this change and information will be posted on LTC website’s detours and stop notice page. Those who are getting off the bus at the Mental Health Care Building and going to Main Building are encouraged to use the Zone D Arthur J. Hobbins Entrance.
