Forbes has recognized St. Joseph's Health Care London as a leading Canadian employer placing 53rd in its annual list of Canada’s Best Employers. This is a hefty jump from last year’s ranking of 99th.

St. Joseph’s placed third in the Healthcare and Social category alongside Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) and Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).

More than 40,000 people working for Canadian companies and institutions with at least 500 employees were surveyed. The responses were analyzed and each company was given a score with the top 300 making the final list. The survey asks participants to rate their employer based on several criteria including salary, gender pay-equity, work flexibility, opportunities for career growth and on-the-job training.

“My heartfelt thank you to everyone at St. Joseph’s for your efforts to enhance our workplace culture of which the organization can be most proud,” says Roy Butler, President and CEO of St. Joseph’s Health Care London. “While this ranking pertains to St. Joseph’s as an employer, it also reflects our staff, physicians and volunteers' commitment to the patients and residents we serve.”
