General Internal Medicine

General internal medicine encompasses the widest range of medical problems. The doctors in this division of internal medicine are able to assist with the diagnosis and treatment of specific and multi-system medical conditions. These conditions may involve any organ or system of the body, such as heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, etc.

Patients are provided with consultation and assessment, and may also be offered follow-up visits for ongoing care of their medical issues.
General internists also perform pre-operative medical assessments for patients scheduled to have operations at St. Joseph’s Hospital who have medical issues that may require management around the time of their surgery.

Services offered

  • Medical consultation and follow up
  • Pre-operative medical consultation
