Medical Imaging: lnterventional Radiography (Fluoroscopy)

Interventional Radiology (IR) or "special procedures" is an expanding area of imaging used to diagnose and treat vascular and non-vascular diseases. IR is a minimally invasive technique that is less risky for patients and usually reduces time spent in the hospital. These procedures are performed with local or intravenous sedation and are guided by fluoroscopy, CT or ultrasound.
