Overall Learning Objectives:

  1. Acquire a greater understanding of diabetes care in indigenous Canadians.
  2. Apply approaches of care to high-risk people living with diabetes and complications; renal disease and congestive heart failure.
  3. Explore the role of new therapies and technology in diabetes and obesity.

This one-credit-per-hour Group Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by the Continuing Professional Development, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University for up to 4.25 Mainpro+ credits.

This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by Continuing Professional Development, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University. You may claim a maximum of 4.25 hours (credits are automatically calculated).

Each participant should claim only those hours of credit that they actually spent participating in the educational program.
