Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation Program

The Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation Unit is a 20-bed inpatient unit located in Parkwood lnstitute's Main Building. The program is designed to meet the rehabilitation needs of those with complex musculoskeletal problems requiring an in-patient, interdisciplinary approach. All referred patients require assessment by a clinical team member prior to admission. Depending on your progress, we anticipate your length of stay to be two to four weeks. Common admission problems include, but are not limited to:

  • Hip Fracture
  • Total Joint Replacement
  • Generalized Deconditioned State
  • Neuromuscular Disorders
  • Trauma

Program Scope:

  • The program is designed to provide excellence in rehabilitative care to those with complex musculoskeletal problems.
  • The Musculoskeletal program actively participates in research and education in collaboration with the Lawson Health Research Institute, Western University and other clinical programs at Parkwood Institute and London's teaching hospitals.
