Medical Imaging: Ultrasound

A patient undergoes an ultrasound on their breast with the help of an ultrasound technologist.

What is an ultrasound?

Ultrasound creates images using sound waves instead of x-rays. It is very good for looking at organs such as the heart, veins, arteries, gallbladder, liver, spleen, kidneys and bladder.
