Year One Highlights
- Became home to Canada’s first primary care clinic for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and other forms of trauma through the Trauma and Violence Specialized Primary Care Program.
- Launched Let’s Get Cookin’, a hands-on program to help mental health inpatients learn practical cooking skills to support their recovery journey.
- Expanded the Appointment Assistant role to Parkwood Institute Main Building to help patients navigate their care with greater ease, confidence and less anxiety.
- Launched the first-of-its-kind in North America Canadian Fermented Foods Initiative to share research, recipes and other resources about the health benefits of fermented food.
- Increased weekend biopsy capacity for mammography to improve timely access to care.
- Implemented a more comprehensive, standardized, person-centred planning tool to guide individual care at Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care.
- Launched Lawson Research Institute (Lawson’s) 2025-2030 Strategic Plan to drive research and innovation.
- Reached the final phase of go-lives for OneChart, a comprehensive electronic health record system designed to provide seamless access to patient information.
