St. Joseph’s is a Canadian leader in minimally invasive urology surgery using the daVinci robot. The robots allows surgeons maximal precision during operations, thus extending human capability. 

More than 100 robotic surgeries are performed at St. Joseph’s each year. Through technology, St. Joseph’s continues to revolutionalize surgery procedures and attract surgery professionals from Canada and around the world to London.

This service is an affiliate of the Breast Care Centre.

This incorporates various surgeries related to breast cancer and incorporates state of the art imaging (mammography and breast ultrasound) and pathology.

Other General Surgery procedures include surgeries related to the gallbladder, various hernias (repair) and the lower gastrointestinal tract.

This service provides minimally invasive surgery for concerns related to women’s gynecologic health. This includes the use of laser, scopes, cameras and ablation equipment.

This service is an affiliate of the Ivey Eye Institute.

In our Operating Room we focus on surgery of the retina, glaucoma, oculoplastics, cornea (including transplants) and other surgical eye emergencies.

Orthopedics at St. Joseph’s specializes in hand, elbow and shoulder surgeries as part of the Roth McFarlane Hand and Upper Limb Centre.

We focus on shoulder replacements (arthroplasties), fractures and scopes associated with upper limbs.

This area concentrates on surgery of the ear, nose, throat, tongue and facial regions, including cancer. Here we use new navigation technology to perform minimally invasive surgery.

This service provides reconstructive breast surgery. We also specialize in the re-implantation of severed upper limbs and digits. Included in this is the repair of tendons and nerves of upper limbs.

This is affiliated with the Roth | McFarlane Hand and Upper Limb Centre.

Part of the Urology Clinic, this service includes the following: laser surgery of the bladder, ureters and kidney. We focus on minimally invasive surgery using scopes and cameras for visualization.

We also perform state of the art robotic surgery (using our da Vinci robot) of the prostate.

This area further incorporates a lithotripsy suite which uses non-invasive extracorporeal shock waves to disintegrate kidney stones without a surgical incision. Please review the slides in this presentation for details on lithotripsy procedure:
