Food and Nutrition Services
Providing nutritional care that nourishes our patients and residents
We are an integrated team that provides food and nutrition services for patients and residents at all sites of St. Joseph’s Health Care London. Our goal is to offer meals that help people feel healthy in body, mind, and spirit.
We make our meal plans by listening to patients, following medical needs and caring for the environment.
To do this, we focus on buying more local food, growing fresh vegetables on-site in the right seasons, composting, and reducing food waste.
We serve more than one million meals every year to our patients and residents based on their diet, allergies and preferences.
What can patients and residents expect
Based on their location, breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at the following times:
- Breakfast: 7:45 am to 9:30 am
- Lunch: 11:30 am to 1:30 pm
- Dinner: 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm
Snacks will also be available between meals based on the needs of the patient or resident.
If there are any concerns with the menu options, please ask your care team to speak to the registered dietitian.
If you are visiting a patient or resident and wish to bring them food, keep in mind your loved one may be on a special diet. Please check in with their care provider to ensure the food you are bringing in is safe.

Cafeteria Locations and Hours
St. Joseph’s Health Care Retail Food Services offer various nutritional food choices to patients/residents and visitors across each site.
Vending machines are also available at most locations.
St. Joseph's Hospital
Cafe 268 is located in B wing, level 0, room B0-101.
Service is available Monday to Friday from 7 am to 4 pm and includes a self-serve Tim Hortons, hot lunches, pizza and grab-and-go items.
Tim Hortons is located inside the Cheapside Entrance in C wing, level 0, room C0-107.
Service is available Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm.
Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care
Courtyard Cafe is located in the Town Square on level 1, room V061.
Service is available Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4 pm and on weekends 10 am to 3 pm. It includes a self-serve Tim Hortons, grab-and-go items and a hot entree offering at lunch.
Parkwood Institute Main Building
Atrium Cafe is located in C wing, level 1, room C1-100.
Service is available Monday to Friday from 6:45 am to 6 pm and on weekends 8:30 am to 5 pm. It offers Tim Hortons, grab-and-go items, a grill with made to order meal items at breakfast and lunch and hot meal specials.
Parkwood Institute Finch Family Mental Health Care Building
Outlook Cafe is located in F wing, level 2, room F2-116.
Service is available Monday to Friday from 7 am to 2:30 pm and includes a self-serve Tim Hortons and grab-and-go. Hot meal specials are available at lunch.
Southwest Centre for Mental Health Care
Nourish Cafe is located in C wing, level 1, room C1-106.
Service is available from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm and includes a grill with meal specials and made-to-order options.
